Paul Rutten

The Netherlands

Paul Rutten began his involvement in baton twirling as the parent of an athlete, Talitha Rutten. He was always willing to volunteer for anything that needed to be done. After Tabitha retired from competition and moved on with her life, Paul became even more involved in baton twirling and I believe more than he ever imagined. And how lucky we were to keep him involved for so many years. Paul has been an integral part in the development of the WBTF for over many years and stepped down as WBTF Treasurer in December of 2020 after 28 years. Along with the position of Treasurer, Paul had also generously volunteered his time serving as photographer and editor of the World Record Book, as well as being the organizer, keeper, and transporter of WBTF’s equipment and supplies for our events.

We thank Paul for everything he has done for the WBTF international community. He certainly deserves this honor.
