Update January 4, 2023 - WBTF's new Technical Foundation Certification Program
WBTF TECHNICAL FOUNDATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM:
MODULE 1: REGISTRATION OPENS OCTOBER 10th
MODULE 1 is a self-paced course. Registrants have 90 days of access to complete the Module 1 Course from the date of registration. After 90 days the registration expires.
There are 4 parts to Module 1:
Part 1 – Basic Theory Overview covering:
Proper Warm up and Cool down
Posture
Baton Twirling geometry
Part 2 – Basic Skills covering:
The 6 Degrees covering Degree 6, 5, and 4
Short Quiz over the material
Part 3 – Basic Movement Technique covering:
Level C, B, B1, and B2
Short Quiz over the material
Part 4 – Reading Assignment of Coaches Manual covering:
Chapters 2,11 & 20
Short Quiz over the material
Part 3 – Basic Movement Technique covering:
Level C, B, B1, and B2
Short Quiz over the material
Part 4 – Reading Assignment of Coaches Manual covering:

WBTF TECHNICAL FOUNDATION CERTIFICATION PROGRAM - MODULE 2
MODULE 2 is an online virtual workshop course that will be offered in March 2023 in three, 4-hour sessions. Participants can select a morning or evening option for all 3 three sessions.
FOR COACHES:
The Technical Foundation Certification Program is an optional course that provides a WBTF Level I Coach Certification for coaches. It is not required.
FOR JUDGES:
BEGINNING SEPTEMBER 2022: All judges beginning WBTF judge certification training are required to take this course prior to taking the WBTF judges master certification course.
All currently certified WBTF master judges must also complete this course by January 2025 and will receive certification credit for doing so.
YOU MUST COMPLETE THE MODULE 1 TO BE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE MODULE 2 VIRTUAL WORKSHOP.

All currently certified Level I WBTF Coach Clinicians from August 2018 and all currently certified WBTF Master Judges as of August 2022 may register and take the Module 1 course for free. This is a one-time offer only.
All new applicants (coach and/or judge): The registration fee is $25 USD payable via PayPal.
Module 2 Registration Fee: (Course Registration will be open by January 10th, 2023 and registration instructions will be posted)
· All currently certified Level I WBTF Coach Clinicians from August 2018 may register and take the Module 2 course for free to update you on the new material presented. This is a one-time offer only.
· All currently certified WBTF Master Judges as of August 2022 may register and take the Module 2 course for $25 USD. Payable via PayPal. This is a one-time offer only at this price.
· All new applicants (coach and/or judge): The registration fee is $50 USD payable via PayPal.
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS: Applicants who are taking this working for MODULE 2 Coach Certification must first complete and pass the MODULE 1 Certification. Applicants must also attend one option from each of the 3 Sessions of the Workshop to qualify for MODULE 2 Certification.
THE REQUIRED SYLLABUS
The required syllabus for this course is the Technical Foundation Certification Training materials.
The materials are a required purchase in order to pass and receive WBTF Level I Coaches’ Certification. The required training materials will be available for purchase on October 1st.
The Cost: $75 USD for the Technical Foundation Certification Training materials, which include updated videos and valuable resources (this is an optional purchase for certified master judges).
Registration will open for Module 1 on October 10th and Module 2 will open after the first of the year.
Part of the required training materials was in the original Coaches Level I Training Program package. Updated videos and new additions have been added. For those who had previously purchased this package: the new updates and additions will be made available to you to download any updated parts of your original purchase. You will receive an email with instructions to complete this download. This will only be available to you until December 31, 2022.
